Policies

GENERAL INFORMATION APPLICABLE FOR ALL CLASSES
*Classes are offered in Sessions

-Toddler and Pre-School classes are 7 week sessions

-Children’s Saturday classes are 6 week sessions

-Children’s After School classes are divided into sessions of varying lengths between September and June.

-Summer Session classes run Monday – Thursday

-Adult classes are 6 week sessions.

*Students may register anytime during a session depending on availability.

-Tuition will be prorated.

*No Drop in classes offered.

*If Urban Arts needs to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, a make-up class will be provided.

*Tuition for children’s classes includes all materials and participation in student art exhibitions.

TODDLER AND PRE-SCHOOL CLASSES
*Trial classes are offered for this age group only. A class day and time will be scheduled depending on availability.

*The fee for a trial class is $25, which will be applied toward tuition if the student registers for the remainder of the session.

*If a student misses their regularly scheduled class, they may attend another class on a different day (based on availability) anytime within the session, or a project will be packed for the student to take home.  ( Art Discovery Saturdays is not an option as a make-up for a missed toddler class.)

*Make-up classes cannot be rolled over from session to session.

CHILDREN’S AFTER SCHOOL AND SATURDAY CLASSES
*Due to our detailed curriculum, make-ups for these classes are not available. However: All teachers will accommodate students who need to complete or catch up on a project by making arrangements for them to come in early or stay later.

ADULT CLASSES
*Students who miss a class may attend another adult class offered during the week or will receive credit for a class in the next session.

PAYMENT, REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
*Tuition is due in full one week prior to first class.

*A $25 fee will be charged for all late payments.

*Tuition will be refunded, minus a $25 processing fee, if notice of cancellation is received at least 7 days prior to first class.

*Notification of withdrawal made between 7 days and the first class will be subject to a $50 processing fee.

*No tuition will be refunded after the first class.

*Summer Refund and Makeup Policy –

-If cancellation occurs prior to June 15th : Deposit/Tuition will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee.

-If a student cannot attend a class they can come on another day, depending on space availability.

-No tuition refunds after first class.

 

Current Covid 19 Transmission Based  Policy

We are committed to following the guidelines and directives issued by the NJ Department of Health and the CDC.

If a student is feeling ill, we ask that they stay home.

If an individual attending classes is required to quarantine based upon a known exposure, they should wait 14 days from the last possible exposure prior to returning to class.

If a student has tested positive or has been in close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19 we respectfully ask that they do not attend class until advised by a medical professional.

If an individual who has attended classes tests positive for Covid19 we ask to be informed so that we may contact the Department of Health for guidance.
