Ages 2-3 (45 minutes)
Students should bring their own smocks or wear clothes that are appropriate for art-making.
These classes provide children with a quality experience that encourages cognitive, physical and social skills while playfully engaging them in the art making process. Art history, specific artists, stories, poems, and songs are used as inspiration. Weekly projects are presented in a step by step format which allows freedom within structure.
Students will:
- Be engaged in activities which develop school readiness
- Interact with other children in a safe, stimulating environment
- Enhance fine and gross motor skills
- Experiment with a wide variety of media
- Begin to recognize art elements, such as line, shape, color, and texture
- Use everyday and recycled objects in the creative process
